A warm welcome to our website, I am privileged to be the Headteacher of Thrybergh Academy, having taken up my role in April 2020. I hope this website will give you a clear idea of our vision and values and the opportunities we provide at the Academy for students, staff and the wider community.

When I was appointed, I was clear that I believe that every child is capable of reaching their potential, and that all of our students are entitled to the same breadth and depth of provision as those in the most successful schools in the country.

It is our vision to be an outstanding school which gives its young people the best life chances through academic success, develops them into excellent members of the community and builds resilience, adaptability and aspiration to equip them with the skills to be successful.

Through this we have one aim: to send every young person into the world able and qualified to play their full role in it. This is a key aim of Wickersley Partnership Trust, of which we are a part. We know that we are at the start of an exciting journey towards excellence and that this will only be possible with persistent hard work, high standards and a culture of respect.

We are proud to have a simple, traditional and no-nonsense approach to uniform, behaviour and learning. We need and expect our parents and community to support us in the work that we do to ensure that we achieve our goal of becoming a truly great school.

I am proud to be part of this community; a community that needs and deserves Thrybergh to be a fantastic place to learn. My staff and I are determined to make that happen.
