Reading for Pleasure
At the Wickersley Partnership Trust, we believe ‘Reading for Pleasure’ should be a daily entitlement for all. Through our timetabled 20-minute sessions each morning, consisting of reading of fiction texts, non-fiction texts and thematic debate, we have made clear our commitment to promote ‘Reading for Pleasure’ by placing it at the heart of our curriculum.
- Develop a lifelong appreciation of reading
- Remove barriers to learning
- Enable students to leave school ‘able and qualified
Central to this is the Reading for Pleasure curriculum.
