In Science Club this week, we took part in various practical tasks.
First, we did the pinhole camera investigation, where we used pringle tubes to make pinhole cameras, in order to learn how imagery from cameras is created.
We then made periscopes to find out how light can be reflected to help us see images, and how it’s used in real life. For example, this is used on submarines, so they can be submerged under water and also be able to look out above the water level to see ships at sea.
We then potted some geraniums into some larger plant pots, to allow them to grow and be used in other practical tasks in the future. As well as this, we planted various seeds into smaller containers to see how well they grow over the following months.
In the final task, we used our skills and the correct equipment to create best slime possible! Everyone had a great time and helped each other out during practical tasks, which was good to see.
