In December, many of our Y8 students had the exciting opportunity to visit the local Gurdwara in Sheffield. Students were able to see an Eastern faith in action, and experience the spiritual atmosphere of the Gurdwara! The students received an informative and educational talk about the Sikh Temple and religion. Students were also invited into the Langar (community kitchen), where food was kindly provided for them to enjoy!
During the second part of the trip, students took part in some fieldwork, they were asked to study the environment alongside the Sheffield Canal. The students were incredibly respectful and sensible throughout the duration of the day, and were a credit to Thrybergh Academy, well done Y8!
Be sure to look through the pictures of our day and read the review Gracie Drabble so kindly submitted.
