Burnham’s Best of the Week!

Each week, we’re going to share and celebrate some of the excellent things going on in our school. We’re extremely proud of the quality of work going on at Thrybergh Academy, and of the fantastic extra bits that our students are taking part in.

Here are some of this week’s highlights:

⭐ In Science, some of our Y10 students have been learning about radioactive decay with Mr Owen using skittles, they have all done a fantastic job and should be super proud of themselves.

⭐ In DIY Club this week, students were learning how to take care of, fix, and sharpen their tools. Lewis in Y10 really impressed everyone, having reground his chisel, honing it by hand, and finishing using a leather strop.

⭐ In Boxing Club this week, students were learning how to properly use pads and bags with Mr Khan. A special shout out goes to Ethan in Y10 and Hudson in Y7, for some exceptional coaching and leadership skills.

⭐ On Wednesday, some of our Y8 Sports Leaders supported the Rotherham School Games Primary Panathlon event. The leaders received lots of amazing feedback from the primary staff attending, with many of them praising them for their manner and conduct.

Well done everyone!
