Y8 Poetry Success!

Recently, The Poetry Society held an inspiring poetry workshop for our Y8 students. During the session, they explored the theme of climate change through creative writing. Their poems were then entered into a competition, and we’re thrilled to share that TA student, Robyn, had her poem highly commended!

As a result, Robyn was invited to AESSEAL plc for a special presentation – a fantastic recognition of her talent and hard work! A huge well done to Robyn, and all our budding poets.

Hot and Hellish
The future is lonely, filled with strife,
I still can’t believe this is life,
We’re surviving, not living, it’s just not fair,
Our hot-hellish world, it’s too much to bare,
We’re ruined, we’re alone,
We don’t have a home,
Our planet will end,
And we shall atone.
We’re on fire, it’s dry,
Smoke blankets the sky,
This is the last generation.
We cannot survive
