TA Science Club!

This week in Science Club, students continued using their Forensic Science skills, applying them to a CSI Murder Mystery task.

The students were given a crime that they were to investigate using a timeline of events, and background information on the suspects day routine. They then put these together with five practical aspects.

These were:

🔴 Shoe prints in various trays of sand to try and match to the suspects

🔴 Blood Analysis testing

🔴 Chromatography to ID the note

🔴 Toxicology testing (Drug Analysis)

The students followed various instructions to complete the tasks, whilst dressed in forensic overalls, to not contaminate the crime scene, and come up with the suspect they believed was involved, and put their reasoning for it. Everyone worked brilliantly, and came up with some great answers.

Reminder! Students need to complete the Google form on Science Club Google Classroom, to inform us what they would like to do each week, or they can get in touch with Mr Atkins. There is also a variety of Science Club merchandise available, if students are interested please see Mr Atkins for this as well.
