TA Science Club!

This Tuesday, the first Science Club of the term was held. Students took part in a Forensics Investigation, so they could solve who had poisoned someone accidentally or, on purpose. The students were given a crime that they had to investigate, using a timeline of events, and background information on the suspects day routine. They went to work, using five different practical aspects.

The five practical aspects were:

  • Shoe print investigation
  • Fingerprint investigation
  • Blood Analysis
  • Chromatography to ID the note left
  • Toxicology

The students followed various instructions and information to complete the five tasks, and came up with the suspect they believed was involved, and discussed their reasoning for it. They all worked brilliantly!

Information on the schedule and activities can be found on social media, Science Club Google Classroom, and the science notice board. If students have other ideas of what they would like to do in the future, they can let Mr Atkins know in person, or through the Science Club Google Classroom.
