On Monday 11th November, a group of Thrybergh Academy students participated in a community Remembrance Day Service hosted at Rotherham Cemetery. Our students listened carefully to the words of the Royal British Legion and reflected on the importance of remembering the sacrifices that were made by people in the past to secure our future.
We would like to thank the Royal British Legion for inviting our students to be part of such an important event and thank our students for being exceptional representatives of the school.
‘They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.’
