Thank you to all the parents/carers and students who attended the year 8 options evening on Tuesday.
The options forms have been sent to year 8 students’ email addresses for them to add in their top four faculty choices before the deadline on Tuesday 9th March.
Students don’t need to fill out their forms straight away – we would advise taking some time to soak up as much information about the faculties to ensure that the ones they pick are a good fit for them and their futures.
Videos from the faculty leaders have also been published, which give an overview of the faculties. This is alongside the options booklet which explains each faculty in more detail, as well as contact details on where to go for more information and advice about each faculty.
Once the options forms are in, we will discuss the chosen options with the students, and from here aim to give every student their top two choices. If, for whatever reason, we cannot give the student their top two, we will ensure that they will get at least two from their top four ranked options.

It is Parents’/Carers’ Careers Advice Week next week (w/c 1st March). This is in place so that parents/carers can book an appointment to virtually meet with our careers advisor or member of staff to discuss anything about their child’s options, the process, or potential career paths.
